A Victory Lap for Michigan's Budtenders

Every product has a story before it reaches a customer.
More often than not, a budtender is the one who helps tell it.
Budtenders are the last voice a customer hears before deciding what to try, and often the first voice that sparked their curiosity in the first place. They learn terpene profiles, remember customer preferences, and guide people through their first vape cart experience with more patience and care than
they're often given credit for.
On July 26th, the Budtender Ball took over M1 Concourse in Pontiac.
No sales pitch. No brand deck. Just a big, heartfelt thank-you delivered in the loudest way we knew how.
Loud Cars & Loud Flower
It's about the same thing that draws people to a starting line: precision, passion, and a culture built by people who care deeply about the details.
That's a grower dialing in a room until it's perfect.
That's an extraction tech chasing the cleanest pull possible.
And that's a budtender who can tell you exactly why one batch hits differently than the last.
M1 gave us the stage, but budtenders from across Michigan gave us the reason to be there.
A Night Built Around Community
When the doors opened, the line didn't stop. Budtenders came from all over the state, some of them heading straight over after a long shift. We made sure everyone who stopped by our booth walked away with something and then let the night take on a life of its own.
Spin the wheel. Grab some Society C. Catch up with old friends. Meet someone from a shop three exits down that you've only ever talked to on Instagram.
Honestly, that's the part we love most.
This industry doesn't get many opportunities where the Budtenders are the guests of honor.
Retail cannabis runs on days, nights, weekends, and holidays. The fact that so many people chose to spend their valuable free time with us means more than we can put into words.
Our goal was simple: make sure nobody left empty-handed and everyone felt appreciated.
The result? Great vibes all night long.
Whether we were reconnecting with old friends or meeting new faces, it was a powerful reminder of why this industry is so special. It's not because of the products. It's because of the people.
A Genuine Thank You
We brought gifts and goodies because firsthand experience matters. It's hard to stand behind a product you've never had the chance to try.
You can't ask someone to confidently recommend a product they've never had the chance to experience for themselves.
Every recommendation a budtender makes puts a piece of their own credibility on the line. The least we can do is make sure they're familiar with what we're asking them to stand behind.
To every budtender who made the drive, stayed late, and spent one of your precious nights off with us: thank you. You are the reason this industry thrives, and you're a big part of why Society C does too.
